Sarah Forgany is a morning anchor for San Antonio’s KENS 5. She is passionate about journalism and storytelling. Sarah began her career in television in 2002, studying all aspects of the industry, from production and editing to reporting and anchoring.

Sarah worked as a weekend anchor/reporter at KLFY in Lafayette, Louisiana, before joining the KENS 5 crew in April 2010. Highlights of her career include covering the Haiti tragedy, Hurricanes Gustav and Ike, and interviewing former President Bill Clinton and Governor Bobby Jindal – not to mention Mardi Gras!

Sarah Forgany took to Facebook on March 11, 2023, to alert her followers that she was in Venice when she needed emergency medical assistance and was later taken to a hospital. 

She thanked the Italian hospital and physicians for their help during that difficult moment. She quickly returned to the United States to complete her therapy.

Thankfully, Sarah Forgany, the acclaimed news anchor, took it upon herself to keep her devoted fans updated on her hospitalization via regular Facebook posts.

Sarah elected not to reveal the specifics of her medical problem while remaining open about her hospital stay. 

Her original tweet mentioned that her holiday to Italy had been cut short owing to an unexpected hospitalization. She expressed sadness at shortening her stay in Venice and returning to the United States for more medical treatment.

Her contagious enthusiasm and steadfast commitment to breaking the news will be sorely missed. We can promise you, however, that she is in high spirits, hanging on to her faith and fighting challenges with fortitude.

While Sarah was raised in Cairo, Egypt, she spent most of her childhood there and attended the University of Houston, where she earned a journalism degree.

Sarah announced on Facebook on March 17 that she was released from the hospital and had gone home. She expressed her joy at the appearance of the bluebonnets in Texas, a harbinger of spring, signifying that she was on the mend.

Sarah kept herself busy during her hospital stay by watching the Academy Oscars and updating her Facebook fans. Notwithstanding the circumstances, her messages showed that she was in excellent spirits.

Although Sarah Forgany has opted not to reveal certain information regarding her hospitalization, she has emphasized her comfort and trust in the care she received.
