After graduating from Hunter College, Maureen began her career as an intern at Viacom.
Over time, she climbed the ranks to become the Senior Vice President of Content for BET Networks, showcasing her dedication and pioneering vision.
A constant advocate for diversity, she worked tirelessly to ensure the representation of people of color, women, and the LGBTQ+ community on screen. In addition to her career in the media, Maureen was a woman of many talents and interests.

Maureen is survived by her wife, Andrea Meyerson, her mother, Christine, her brother Edward, sisters Karen (Donald), Joanne (Nodran), Jillian, and Jennifer (Greg), as well as 12 beloved nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her mother, Bernice Guthman (nee Thornton), her father, Andre J. Guthman, her brothers, Andre Guthman and Raymond Guthman, and her niece Andrea Guthman.
