Gianna Lamb car accident news has left pain and despair in the family. According to the source, the crash happened in Rout 59 and Riverwalk Court around 8:30 p.m.
The first crash appeared, with a Nissan Rogue striking a Toyota Rav4. As per the police, the Nissan vehicle turned at the intersection without properly yielding to the Toyota vehicle.
Gianna was a passenger of the Nissan Rogue. During the first crash, she exited from the car and began running away from the crash. Unfortunately, she was hit by a Ford Fusion that was driving Northwood on Route 59.
Later, Gianna Lamb was rushed to the Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital. Sadly, she was announced dead in the hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
After the crash, both roads were closed for several hours for the investigations. Now, the roads are reopened, and further investigations are going on.
Three cars were involved in the crashes, and the people in the vehicles were members of the nearby Community Christian Church, according to Pastor John Ciesniewski.
He added that there have been at least seven crashes at the intersection, with no traffic lights for the past two years.
He also said the church has often pressed for traffic lights, but the Department of Transportation has not installed one.
