The Baton Rouge resident who decided to spend his evening in the city with his cousin, Shirell Robinson Jackson, was an innocent victim of this horrific terrorist attack.
Moreover, Jackson was among dozens who were injured and both were taken to University Medical Center in New Orleans, where Hunter passed away from his injuries, leaving a grieving family behind.
In a heartbreaking post on social media, his cousin spoke to the pain and sorrow of the family.
He said his brother had just sent a “Happy New Year” message in the family group text before he went out to enjoy the night.

Reggie Hunter Had A Tight-knit Bond With His Son, Often Sharing His Proudness Being His Father
Reggie Hunter’s children, his 11-year-old son, Landon, and 2-year-old son, Christian Hunter, were his world.
