1985, during Mike Von Erich’s match in Israel, he suffered a shoulder injury and required surgery.
But after the surgery, he contracted a toxic shock syndrome and suffered from a body temperature of 107 degrees, major organ failure, and lost 40 pounds.
Furthermore, Mike Von Erich suffered brain damage. As per his close ones, he was not the same both physically and psychologically after the incident.
Mike Von Erich tried to do wrestling, but he lacked coordination and balance. He has also been through deep depression and began drinking excessively and taking prescription drugs.
