She gave birth to her first son, Knox Gregory Wilson, in May of 2019, and her second son, Ledger Wilson Sadler, was born on April 28, 2021.

Wilson was raised in Baskin, Louisiana, by her fifth-generational farmer Father Brian and schoolteacher mother, Michelle, in a town of only 250 people.

Wilson elaborated that having her Father by her side at the awards ceremony was especially meaningful to her, given that he had been hospitalized not long ago.

Thanks to her Father’s instruction, Wilson picked up a few chords and began writing songs before she even reached her teenage years.
