According to investigators, Fox’s life was cut short last week when he was killed in a head-on accident in Arkansas. “Tragic. a tragic loss, “Kathleen Zellner, Fox’s attorney, stated. “My immediate emotion was to feel tremendous sadness for his family.”

That was Zellner’s initial response after learning of her client’s death. Mr. Fox was killed in a head-on collision in Arkansas on Monday, where he had relocated following the events of 2004.

Fox was one of two persons who died in an accident on State Highway 7 South near Dardanelle in Yell County, Arkansas, on Monday.
According to Arkansas State Police, Fox was driving north on State Highway 7 south of Dardanelle when another vehicle in the southbound lanes crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on with Fox’s car.
Fox and the other motorist, Michael Glasscock, were killed in the incident. According to authorities, the second vehicle’s driver also perished.

“He was driving down a two-lane highway when a car going towards him crossed the center line and hit him head-on, and he died instantaneously at the scene,” she explained.
Riley, Fox’s 3-year-old daughter, was discovered dead in a creek on June 6, 2004, just a few miles from her home in Wilmington, Illinois. She’d been sexually abused, tied, and gagged. The cause of the toddler’s death was subsequently confirmed to be from drowning.
Fox was arrested nearly five months after his daughter’s murder, following a 14-hour interrogation in which he said Police pressured him into making a false confession. The Police have denied pressuring Fox to confess.
Fox was charged with first-degree murder in his daughter’s death. He was facing the death penalty and was detained in jail on a $25 million bail before being freed eight months after Genetic evidence exonerated him.

Fox made news in 2004 when the Will County Sheriff’s Department arrested him on suspicion of raping and killing his daughter Riley.
He was imprisoned for eight months on murder charges before Genetic evidence forgave him, and the actual perpetrator eventually confessed to the crime.
Millions of dollars in damages were granted to him and his then-wife, but what was most important to him was cleansing his name.
“He was fully justified, “Zellner explained. “We were offered millions of dollars to settle the matter, but he refused. On the eve of his trial, he stated, “I don’t care if we get 25 cents. I just want his name cleansed.”
Fox relocated to Arkansas after being pardoned and having his name cleared. He remarried, founded a Company, and resumed living with three children.
With their Father’s death on Monday, those children are now fatherless. Fox was 46 years old at the time. The reason for the crash has yet to be determined.
