Then, just before the playoffs, I informed everyone that I had to go to work. I underwent seven weeks of radiation and treatments.
Initially hoping to face the disease privately, Kelly’s plans changed when hockey legend Wayne Gretzky shared a video documenting Kelly’s final radiation treatment.
Kelly expressed his surprise, saying, “I just was like, ‘Gretz, what are you doing?’ You can’t yell at him because he is such a gentleman and wanted to express support, saying, ‘Good for you. We’re all behind you.”
