Collins, 32, born on April 7, 1992, is the former co-anchor of CNN This Morning. She has hosted The Source at 9 p.m. since July 2023.

Following her recent clash with Donald Trump Jr., speculations have arisen that Kaitlan has been fired from CNN.
During the clash, Don Jr. savaged Collins over CNN’s handling of his father, former President Donald Trump accusing the left-wing media of having “radicalized the people that are trying to kill my father.”
He said that the media has created so much of that environment. Moreover, Kaitlan fired back at him about the media’s role in attempts on Donald Trump’s life.

Recently, on September 2024, a YouTube channel named Life With Recklezz posted a video titled “Kaitlan Collins CNN Host Fired After She Repeatedly Attacks on JD Vance On Live TV.”
During the debate, she continuously interrupted JD Vance’s speech, for which she also received criticism and hate comments.
