Her ex-husband passed away on August 29, 1996, at the age of 49, at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan.

Godreau who was known for his intense and powerful dancing d*ed because of AIDS, as confirmed by his friend, Penny Frank.
The couple was briefly married and the marriage was eventually annulled, however, they were connected through their link to the Alvin Organization.
Although the two shared history and deep respect, there is no suggestion that she contracted AIDS from Godreau, as no evidence indicates Jamison had AIDS.
