Patrick Girdaukas, born on March 21, 1991, in Lake Forest, IL, passed away on August 13, 2023.
Patrick Girdaukas’s obituary has devastated the people around him as he was a kind and talented person from childhood.
He was an incredible musician and learned to play the tenor saxophone at Oak Grove Elementary School.
Girdaukas played in various bands throughout his education, including the marching, concert, jazz band, and jazz ensemble at Libertyville High School.
He pursued his passion for music, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music – Saxophone Performance and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Carthage College.
The professional musician cherished his time teaching elementary general music at Racine Unified School District in Racine, Wisconsin.
He was also a proud founding member of the Cigar Society of Carthage College and a member of the band “Sneezy.” Patrick met Frances Skurski, the love of his life while performing at a Sneezy concert.
The incredible artist was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Gerard Girdaukas, and his older brother, David Girdaukas.
Funeral services to honor Patrick’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Pleasant Prairie, WI, with a visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. & a Mass of Burial at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. A visitation for Patrick will also be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Piasecki Funeral Home.
