Moreover, the young girl was in the middle of tumbling, flipping, twisting, and jumping during this exercise when she went down with such great force upon her neck that her spinal cord sustained instant and severe damage.
In the immediate aftermath of the fall, Noble felt a tingling sensation across her entire body, but she was completely unable to move or feel anything from her neck downwards.
The athlete realized she had suffered a catastrophic accident, and she was paralyzed from the chest down.
She shared,
When my accident happened, I stayed conscious the entire time and was very aware of everything that was going on. I thought I broke my neck and my back. Again, I didn’t know what the feeling of being paralyzed felt like, but I thought that that had happened because it felt like half my body just disappeared and went away. I was in so much pain, but I couldn’t feel my body. It was a really, really weird sensation.
Makayla Noble, A YouTuber Stayed In The Hospital For Almost Two Months To Recover
Makayla Noble was immediately taken to the hospital, where the initial weeks were spent in the intensive care unit for extensive care and stabilization.
Later, she started attending physical therapy to regain partial mobility and muscle tone.

Doctors had given her such a discouraging prognosis at first, saying she would never walk and most forms of physical activity would be out of reach for her.
Yet, the star did not surrender. She continued her therapy and performed miraculous feats, such as rolling by herself.
Moreover, she became an inspiration for many battling with similar situations, and now she uses a wheelchair and exercises to get better each day.
Recently, the media personality shared a story on her Instagram mentioning being sick and having trouble coughing since she cannot do that due to her paralysis.
The scariest part was when she shared that if she is not as mobile as possible then she can get pneumonia, however, she expressed that she is improving and breathing better each day.
