Heath Streak family is mourning the loss as he passed away at age 49 after a fierce colon and liver cancer battle.
Heath Streak, a Zimbabwean cricketer and cricket coach, served as a player and captain for the Zimbabwe national cricket team.
Streak was Zimbabwe’s leading wicket-taker in Test cricket, amassing 216 wickets and ODI cricket with an impressive tally of 239 wickets.
Similarly, he stands alone as the sole Zimbabwean cricketer to have achieved the milestone of capturing more than 100 Test wickets and achieving the impressive double of 2000 runs and 200 wickets in ODIs.
Additionally, he is among the exclusive group of just four Zimbabwean bowlers to have achieved over 100 ODI wickets.
On May 13, 2023, Zimbabwean senator David Coltart made a solemn announcement regarding Streak’s health, describing his condition as “extremely ill.”

Heath Streak was survived by his spouse, Nadine Streak, and their children.
On Sunday morning, Heath Streak’s wife, Nadine Streak, confirmed his passing in a heartfelt Facebook post.
She expressed, “In the early hours of this Sunday, September 3, 2023, my dearest love and the cherished father of our wonderful children peacefully departed from his home, where he had desired to spend his final moments surrounded by children, family and cherished ones.
She added he was enveloped in love and serenity, never embarking on this journey alone. Our spirits are forever intertwined, Streaky. Until we reunite in each other’s embrace.”
Nadine Streak, Heath Streak’s wife, previously worked as a nurse but has since become a stay-at-home mother, devoting her time to raising their children.
Heath Streak’s children have all reached adulthood and have their professional careers.
On the other hand, the Heath Streak family shares a close bond, characterized by unwavering support for one another through life’s challenges and triumphs. They are always there for each other, fostering a strong sense of unity.
Sadly, they are currently grieving the passing of Heath, who, at the age of 49, succumbed to a courageous fight against colon and liver cancer.
