Shahib was focused on educating his children. So, the family always supported Fathima in her studies and encouraged her to study law in the future.
That was a time when women were not allowed to leave their homes. In such a conservative time, with the constant support of her parents, Fathima came to Thiruvananthapuram for her higher studies.
Furthermore, Fathima stayed in a hostel, Sree Narayan Vidyarthini Sadanam and continued her higher studies.
Both of Fathima’s parents were loving, caring and understanding parents. Talking about siblings, Fathima had five younger sisters and two younger brothers.
Fathima was a strong and confident woman. She was also the first muslim woman to be appointed to the higher judiciaries in India.
Fathima’a parents were always proud of their daughter’s hardship and work. There were examples of the true family who provided the positive message about women and the things they can do like men.
