Likewise, her family, friends, and the entire Clemson community mourned the loss of a young girl who had spread joy and happiness everywhere she went. Ella was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain Cancer and fought bravely.
However, she became ill on Friday, September 9, 2022, and was taken to a local emergency room. She was airlifted to Washington, DC, where her family joined her. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with Cancer on September 15, 2022.
Bryan wrote in his tribute to Ella,
“My beautiful sister Ella, you amazed me every single day with the fight you put up and how joyful you were constantly through this battle. I never thought I would be sitting here today saying bye to you. I want to thank you for bringing happiness to me and so many people. You are the best sister a brother could ask for, and I know Heaven has gained a beautiful angel today. Love you forever and always, Ella bear.”
Ella was a beloved member of the Clemson community and had touched many lives with her kindness and positivity. Her death came just days after being honored at the University’s football game, where players and coaches donned ‘Ella Strong’ tops.
