Unlike her son, Mathers had not accumulated any sort of fortune from a public career.
Instead, any money she gathered was through various sources of legal settlements, sporadic public appearances, and support attached to the musician’s success.
Moreover, Mathers’s net worth must be around $500k to $1 million as of 2024, while her son has a whopping $230 million, positioning him as one of the richest rappers in the world.
Though his mother’s net worth pales in comparison to the singer’s, she was financially secure and lived a more pleasant lifestyle.

The songwriter accused Mathers of being a dr*g user and an unstable parent, which she vehemently denied.
Public spats between the two were well-publicized, and Eminem had aired his beef with his mom in interviews as well as the hit “My Name Is.”
However, the celebrity mother claimed that her son’s accusations sullied her reputation and were untrue.
Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s lawyer, countered on behalf of his client that the music mogul’s charges were verifiable and part of a “lifelong strained relationship” between mother and son.
The case was settled in Macomb County District Court in Michigan, where the judge ruled in favor of Mathers.
Instead of the $10 million she had been seeking, she was granted a settlement of $25,000.
After attorney fees, she took home a mere $16,000, nowhere near the millions she was hoping for.
Nonetheless, the legend’s fans were enraged by the actions and said;
That was still too much.. she should have gotten like $25.
Other added;
She dint really settle, since she knew she wasn’t going to win she just probably asked M “nicely” to please take care of her legal fees.
Furthermore, one fan commented;
She’s jealous of her sons fame and career and she’s letting her greed get in the way she’s just done that to get money out of her son. You would have thought she would have been so proud and happy for him than to try and take whats not yours. I’m sure he would have helped her out.
