The reason for the attack is still being investigated, and Star Turner, Wilder’s aunt who raised him as a boy, believes that the shooting was planned.
She claims that the shooters even targeted her car during the attack. “It was an ambush. They came from one half of the House around to the back. To me, it was personal. And you took somebody’s life and almost took another life? That’s sad,” Turner said. She was in the kitchen when the gunfire erupted, and the trauma of that night will stay with her and her family forever.
Our thoughts go out to the family and loved ones of Zion Sincere Wilder during this difficult time.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find the strength and comfort they need to get through this tragic loss.
