Actor Cole Brings Plenty was raised by his father, Joe, after his mother left when he was just six months old, with Joe taking on both parenting roles to support and guide him.

“1923” Season 2 Premiere Honors the Late Cole Brings Plenty, who passed away on April 5, 2024, in Edgerton, Kansas, at 27.

 

His d*ath was a tragic loss that cut short an emerging acting career.

Cole Brings Plenty was the beloved son of his father, Joseph Brings Plenty Sr., and his stepmother, Joni Brings Plenty.

In a heart-wrenching message, Joe expressed the close bond he shared with his son and their family journey. 

I am deeply saddened to confirm that my son, Cole, has been found and is no longer with us. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts you sent for Cole.We would also like to thank everyone who came to walk beside us as we searched for my son and provided the resources we needed to expand our search areas. I learned this week how many people knew the goodness in Cole’s heart and loved him.

After his mother left when he was six months old, his father raised his home with the help of close family members. 

When the star was around 3-years-old, Mr. Joe met Joni Uses Many, ho accepted his children as her own and welcomed them into her family.

Cole Brings Plenty, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, was found deceased in Johnson County, Kansas, after being missing for a week leading up to April 2024.

 

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe offered their sincerest condolences to Cole’s loved ones, calling him a great example of a good relative. 

 

They have asked his loved ones to be left alone to mourn his passing. 

We respectfully request that Cole’s family be given their privacy as they mourn the loss of their son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle. The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe demands a full and thorough investigation into Cole’s disappearance and subsequent death. Our Attorney General will be in contact with the Kansas Authority to ensure this is accomplished.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office states that the TV star’s body was found in the woods off of Homestead Lane and 200th by deputies in response to an abandoned vehicle. 

The cause of his d*ath has yet to be published, but officials state that an investigation is still ongoing.
