Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo is a Mexican politician and the former Head of the Government of Mexico City, serving from 2018 to 2023.

Claudia was born on 24 June 1962 in Mexico City. She is currently running as a candidate for President of Mexico in the 2024 Mexican general election.

Claudia is famous in Mexico for her long contribution to the energy field and as a politician. And there is curiosity regarding her religion in public.

Claudia Sheinbaum is Jewish. She belongs to a Jewish family. She is proud of her religion and feels blessed to represent herself in her country.

Furthermore, Claudia was both the first woman and Jewish person to be the Mayor of Mexico City.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Claudia’s mother belongs to a Bulgarian Sephardic Jewish family.

Similarly, Claudia’s father spent much of his life in Guadalajara, which was once home to a hundred Jewish families.

So, Claudia Sheinbaum is Jewish, and she is very much related to her religion and heritage.

Claudia Sheinbaum belongs to a mixed ethnicity. Claudie’s father was born in Mexico, but his parents were initially from Lithuania.

Claudia’s paternal grandparents were Ashkenazi Jews, and they arrived in Mexico in the 1920s. Talking about Claudie’s maternal grandparents were initially from Bulgaria.

As per the source, they arrived at Veracruz, Mexico, in 1942, barely escaping the Holocaust.

So, Claudia’s grandparents are from different parts of the world. So, she belongs to a mixed ethnic group.

Claudia Sheinbaum Parents, Siblings And Family

Claudia Sheinbaum is the daughter of Carlos Sheinbaum and Annie Pardo Cemo.  Both of her parents are scientists.

Claudia’s mother is a biologist and is serving as a professor emeritus of the Sciences faculty at the National University of Mexico.

Similarly, Cluadia’s father is a chemical engineer. Furthermore, Claudia has a brother who is a physicist.

Claudia’s brother received a master’s and doctorate in energy engineering at UNAM. Like her parents, Claudia also decided to follow in their footsteps and became a Scientist and a professor.

Talking about Claudia’s love life, she married a politician, Carlos Imaz, in 1987. The pair welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 1988.

But after a long married life, the pair decided to separate and separated in 2016. Claudia is a mother of two daughters.
