Blayre Turnbull is a Canadian ice hockey player who plays forward for PWHL Toronto. She recently signed a three-year deal with the Toronto franchise of the Professional Women’s Hockey League.
Born in July 1993 in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Blayre began her professional career in 2011. She debuted with the Canada women’s national ice hockey team in the 2014 4 Nations Cup.

Sadly, Blayre’s mother passed away from Cancer when Blayre was just 15. It was very hard for her as she lost her mother at such a young age. Blayre was just 14 when she knew that her mother was diagnosed with Cancer.
Blayre missed her mother. Her mother was always hopeful, saying you could play in the Olympics one day and do everything you wanted.
Furthermore, Blayre once said that her mother, Dalene, taught her that no matter what she does, she must do it with her whole heart and effort. Blayre also said she would have been proud to see her in such a spot today.
Blayre missed her mother a lot. She is thankful for everything, every sacrifice, her mother made for her life. Dalene was supportive, loving and caring to both of her children.
