Following the widespread circulation of the video on social media, the Police made an arrest. According to Seri Alam District Police Chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Bin Ishak, a teenage couple has been detained in connection with the incident.

According to investigators, the video was filmed on March 29 at around 3 pm in the parking lot of Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang, Johor.
Superintendent Mohd. Sohaimi confirmed that the Police had been notified of the viral video uploaded on social media that lasted 23 seconds and depicted a couple misbehaving in public.
On April 6 at around 4:30 pm, the authorities arrested the couple in Taman Johor Raya and Tomana Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang.
Following the arrest, the Police seized a red Perodua Axia car with a red, white T-shirt.
