Recent Arrest Case Of Nicola Sturgeon’s Husband
An investigation was initiated following allegations about the SNP’s use of over £600,000 in donations for campaigning and organizing a second independence referendum.
Peter Murrell, the ex-CEO of the Scottish National Party, was apprehended as a suspect and questioned regarding the ongoing investigation into the Party’s funding and financial matters.
Murrell was held in custody for nearly 12 hours and then released without any charges pressed. However, the investigation into the matter was still ongoing, with the preparation of a report for Scotland’s prosecution service underway.
Police searched Murrell and Sturgeon’s Glasgow home and the Party’s Edinburgh headquarters, with their residence covered by a tent and the surrounding area cordoned off.

Sturgeon’s spokesperson affirmed that she had no advanced knowledge of the Police’s actions and stated that Sturgeon would completely cooperate with Police Scotland if necessary. Still, no such request has been received yet.
