How did Alanis Morissette gain weight?
Alanis’s superficial comments about her body may have been influenced by a throwback photo she shared on Instagram.
The mother of three posted an older photo of herself in late July when she was pregnant with her third child and had a visible bump.
It’s also worth noting for those who may have observed Alanis’ weight gain that age and babies can change a person’s body. After all, she’s 46 years old and gave birth a year ago.
In August 2019, the singer and her partner, the rapper Souleye (Mario Treadway), received their third child. The boy’s parents gave him the name Winter Mercy.
Additionally, they have a daughter called Onyx Solace, born in 2016, and a son named Ever Imre, born in 2010.
Alanis Morissette Weight Loss
Photographers caught pictures of the platinum-selling singer sweating it out last week on a steamy afternoon in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood. She looked stunning on Conan O’Brien’s “Tonight” show earlier this month.
According to the Daily Mail, she is training for a run, light weights, biking, swimming, kickboxing, and dancing.
Morisette started a new diet and fitness regimen in September last year and had lost 20 pounds by the new year; she said OK! Magazine.
The 35-year-old says she went vegan for disease prevention rather than weight loss – the latter was a bonus.
She now primarily eats fruits, veggies, beans, and nuts and avoids dairy and meat.
Alanis Morissette’s eating disorder
In 2009, Alanis opened up about her past struggles with bulimia and anorexia. She characterized herself as a “self-loathing, dysmorphic girl” at the time.
A year before that encounter, the singer had been the subject of blog posts that made fun of her “fatness.”
She told People, “I felt a lot of shame.” “I apologize for your food disorder. “I’m sorry for gaining weight,” I said, “I’m sorry for everything.”
Alanis also wrote on her blog about her “troubled relationship” with food.
It’s impossible to say what factors led to Alanis Morissette’s possible weight gain. But, presumably, the singer is content and enjoying herself while spending time with her family.
