Joseph Chen went missing on March 2, 2023, after leaving school and taking a B.C. transit bus.
He got off the bus on Annacis Island in Delta and was captured on CCTV walking on the east sidewalk of the southbound side of the Alex Fraser Bridge.
However, he was no longer seen on the sidewalk shortly after. Since then, Joseph has not utilized his Compass Card, cell phone, or bank card.
To aid the investigation, authorities request dash camera footage or accounts from individuals who might have spotted Joseph on the Alex Fraser Bridge between 3:30 and 4:30 pm on March 2, 2023.

Joseph Chen Missing Case Update: Is The 14 Year Old Found?
According to Police reports, Joseph Chen was last sighted on March 2, 2023, walking on the Alex Fraser Bridge.
There has been no update on his whereabouts since then, causing his family to be anxious about his physical and emotional well-being.
When he was last seen, Chen wore a khaki jacket and brown pajama pants with a teddy bear pattern on the pant legs. On the same day, he was last spotted at 2:30 pm in Surrey’s 16200 block of 88 Avenue.
Joseph Chen is described as an Asian male, approximately 5′6″ tall, weighing 123 lbs, with shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes.
Now, Sergeant James Sandberg, spokesperson for the Delta Police, stated on Thursday afternoon that the case had been transferred to the Delta Police as the lead agency due to information obtained during the investigation.
This transfer aligns with the guidelines for missing person cases in the province, and any tips or information concerning Joseph Chen’s whereabouts should now be directed to the Delta Police.
As per Police, Chen was last seen boarding a B.C. Transit bus, which took him to Annacis Island in Delta.
Footage from a closed-circuit camera showed him walking south on the east sidewalk of the Alex Fraser Bridge, but a similar camera captured no footage of him at the other end of the bridge.
Furthermore, there has been no record of Chen using his cellphone, credit card, or Compass Card since being sighted on the bridge.

Joseph Chen’s family has publicly appealed for help in finding him.
Authorities and the parents of a 14-year-old boy from Surrey who has gone missing are urging the public to provide any information on his location.
Chen’s family worries about his physical and emotional state, as it is unlike him to be unresponsive for such an extended period.
In a statement, his parents expressed their concerns, stating that their son has been missing for three days, and they have been unable to reach him as he has not used his credit card or Compass Card.
Additionally, his mother, Cherry Chen, pleaded with her son to return home safely, assuring him that everyone loved and awaited him.
Joseph’s Father, Alex Chen, shared that security camera footage from a business on Annacis Island showed Joseph walking south on the bridge’s east sidewalk toward Delta around 4 pm on Thursday.
Further, Joseph’s family requests anyone with dashcam footage from the surrounding area during that time come forward.
