Insight Into The Stunning Kim Petras Brits Performance
Unholy is Sam Smith’s masterpiece which earned him the 2023 Grammy award. His bold appearance, high-pitched sound, and sensual lyrics combined created a package named Unholy.
Add Kim Petras’ duet to the song, and it just became more spectacular. Not just the track but the singers’ performances also have been mind-blowing.
For instance, both chose a demonic theme for their performance of Unholy at the Grammys. Some even accused Sam of worshipping the devil and performing a satanic ritual in the show.
Whatever the theories might have been made, it was a spectacular performance, and no one can refute it. Likewise, the musician duo once again lit the stage on fire during the 2023 Brit Awards.
Before talking about their performance, let’s talk about their style first. Kim donned a black minidress and complimented her outfit with a black hood.
But the most eye-catching part was her eye makeup. Petras looked doll-like with a swirl of spider-like strokes around her eyes.
On the other hand, Sam Smith wore a customized latex outfit by Harri. It looked creative and made his shoulders and thighs look dramatic.
For their performance, the stage was covered in motorbike and car pieces in a Mad Max-esque fashion. The beat-heavy bop caused the black-clad, grease-stained backup dancers-turned-mechanics to distort their bodies.
Smith and Petras looked awesome in their black and leather outfits. Petras, during her part, made her grand entrance in a mechanic’s trolley.
Although the show was said to be a toned-down version of their Grammy performance, Sam and Kim made audiences jaw-drop with their show.
The song was also nominated for the Song of the Year in the Brits. However, Harry Styles took home the trophy with his As It Was.
Nevertheless, social media was immediately sent into an uproar after the duo’s unholy performance. While there were also some negative comments, the majority praised their performance.
Sadly, Kim Petras and Sam Smith couldn’t take home the Song of the Year title. Nonetheless, both are talented singers whose future seems bright.
We wish to see Petras and Smith collaborating on another sizzling and epic title soon.
