Born on November 13, 1956, Rex Linn is an American film and television actor who is best known for playing the role of Sgt. Frank Tripp in the CBS drama CSI: Miami.
He is also famous for playing Kevin Wachtell in the television series Better Call Saul and for the role of Richard Travers in the 1993 action thriller film Cliffhanger.
Linn was born to Darlene (née Deere) and James Paul Linn in Spearman, Texas. He was raised alongside his two other siblings.
He is the third child and second son of his parents.
His father, James Paul Linn, was a lawyer in Oklahoma City, so for his work purpose, their family hailed to Oklahoma in August 1969.
Rex went to Heritage Hall and later Casady School. Similarly, in 1980, he graduated from Oklahoma State University.
