After 20 years of bringing an incommunicable amount of love to our lives, our sweet boy Carter Jonathan Whitt, born October 19, 2004, passed away on February 3, 2025. He was a cautiously reluctant child, always wanting to be proficient prior to trying anything. Always reserved and contemplative, when his interest piqued he’d develop encyclopedic knowledge and deliver endless detail to anyone who’d listen.
Meanwhile, his mother shared:
On Monday, we lost our sweet Carter to mental illness. This photo is on a 1947 Minneapolis Moline Z that has been in the family since new. He loved driving it and tinkering with it with my dad. It is the last photo we have of him from the weekend and I love that he is in his happy place. Carter was kind, smart, funny, quirky, talented, a great son, fantastic brother, and wonderful friend. To know him was to love him. Our hearts ache.
