Clara Kephas Pope Obituary

Kephas Pope, a music student passed away in a tragic bicycle accident that broke the hearts of his loved ones.

He was a bright and diligent student at Santa Clara University who recently left this world in a life-threatening accident.

The people who knew him still remember his bright smile, his warm heart, and the optimism he always spread around him. 

Also, Pope pursued music in his elementary school with a passion for singing and people remember him for his warm heart and enthusiasm. 

Kephas Pope, A Santa Clara Resident Passed Away In A Bicycle Accident

Kephas Pope, a beloved student at Santa Clara University, passed away on 21 November 2024 in a tragic cycle accident.

While walking his ride across a crosswalk, a speeding car ran out of control and hit a tree. 

 

Sadly, Pope was struck by debris from the crash. He wrote his helmet, however the impact was fatal.

The young man was a bubbly guy who was full of life, faith, and kindness. A true Christian, he was always ready to share his faith with his friends and classmates by being positive where he went. 

Additionally, the family has initiated a fundraiser in his name, which they hope will help them offset the costs and get through this trying time.

Also, the student will be intensely missed by his family, friends, and the entire Santa Clara University community.

Kephas Pope’s Family Grieves His Death After The Young Guy Had A Unexpected Accident 

The tragic loss of Kephas Pope, 29, a University student left his family, friends, and the community in deep mourning. 

Moreover, His aunt Hilary Halls paid teary tribute saying; 

Kephas is in the arm’s of his savior Jesus now. He was a godly man who had a beautiful smile & loved the Lord. He was baptized and professed his faith. Please pray for my brother, neice, and sister miao, and our whole family. We love you forever Kephas Pope and will never forget your kindness you showed us all.

Similarly, his former teacher also expressed his sadness, remembering his joyful spirit and the impact he made in his class. 

He expressed;

One of my former elementary music students was tragically killed in a bike accident where he was walking his bike in a crosswalk on his way to chemistry class at Santa Clara University. An out of control car hit a tree and the tree fell on him. I’m absolutely heartbroken. Please join me in supporting his family with this go fund me. I’ll never forget Kephas’ sense of humor and great spirit he brought to music class.

Additionally, in his memory, Santa Clara University has expressed deep sympathy for his family and a vigil will be held after Thanksgiving break.

  • Kephas Pope was born and raised by his parents Nathan Pope and Patricia Pope. 
  • He grew up with his sister, Grace Pope who was waiting for him in her college on the day of his demise. 
  • Pope’s father served as a Principal at Shu Ren International School when he was a kid.
