Chauncy Glover, the son of Sherry and Robert Glover, was born on July 10, 1985, in Athens, Alabama. His younger brother, Marchas Glover, passed away in 2012 in a car accident.

Chauncy became attached to journalism when his father built him a mini anchor desk at the age of 5. He used to perform newscasts for his family every Sunday after church.
Later, he turned his hobby into a career and attended Troy University in Alabama, where he studied broadcast journalism, music, and theatre.

While working at WDIV in Detroit, Chauncy began the Chauncy Glover Project, a mentorship program dedicated to teaching young men acts of kindness and leadership.
His project mentored over 1,000 young men and sent more than 350 boys to college. He was also named one of the Ambassadors of the Year for his work with Detroit’s youth.
He was recognized by President Barack Obama and My Brother’s Keeper for his mentoring work.
Furthermore, his parents haven’t disclosed the actual cause of his tragic passing. He tested positive for the Coronavirus in 2020. He had horrible body aches with a hot temp of 101.
