The news about Matthew’s death came when law enforcement was called to a place on Dixie Trail, near Everette Avenue, at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

They found Matthew inside a student housing facility, and sadly, he was unresponsive and didn’t have a pulse.

Matthew was a 21-year-old North Carolina State University student majoring in Agricultural Business Management.
