Lyle Dicke, a 65-year-old resident of Goodhue, drove the tractor. The crash happened on a straight stretch of County Road 1 when Mr. Dicke heard a loud bang and felt his tractor lurch forward.
Upon inspecting the situation, he discovered a car had struck the spreader and promptly called 911. The local authorities, including Red Wing Fire Department and Goodhue First Responders, were dispatched promptly to the scene.
