Nickelodeon’s New Star Trek Animated Series First Details
The CG animated series Star Trek, developed by Dan and Kevin Hageman, are in the horde of a new TV show, following up a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict “Starfleet ship” to use it to search for adventure, meaning, and salvation.
“Star Trek, Nickelodeon, and the state of animation are doing incredibly ambitious things as of late. We couldn’t be more excited to jump aboard,” said Dan and Kevin Hageman.
Meanwhile, Alex Kurtzman, who is spearheading CBS’ new Star Trek Tv show push, added;
“Star Trek’s mission is to inspire generations of dreamers to build a brighter future.”
In addition, 2009 Novel Star Trek: Countdown writer, Kurtzman noted that “Dan and Kevin had crafted a story that honors its exploratory spirit in a way that’s never been done before, while the Nickelodeon team blew us away with their excitement at bringing Trek to a younger generation around the world.”
As a matter of fact, the Star Trek Tv show’s new animated series, which is yet to be titled, also has the other CBS animated comedy series in development, including Star Trek: Lower Decks.
Above all, other current Trek projects TV show are Star Trek: Discovery, the untitled Jean-Luc Picard series (just started shooting), and a Section 31 spinoff!
Star Trek TV Show Animation Begins | Cast Members Announced
The production of the yet-left-to-be-titled Star Trek series has begun in southern California. Curiosity raises amidst the fans, while the CBS All Access series has not officially been named.
But good news, it will feature Patrick Stewart returning to the role of Jean-Luc Picard twenty years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis.

M’Ress and Arex appeared in some late 1980‘s STAR TREK comics written by Peter David. They came on board with issue #37 (set right after STAR TREK IV) and stayed until #58. Some of these are collected in the graphic novel “Who Killed Captain Kirk?”
Surprisingly, M’Ress appeared and was named in the 1975 Peter Pan comic/record “Passage to Moauv” but was drawn to resemble an Orion woman.
Was there ever a Star Trek animated feature production planned?
No, never!
The animated series got canceled in 1974, and even if it became somewhat successful, Saturday morning TV shows weren’t made into animated movies in the early 1970s.

The new Animated Series of Star Trek TV show gave a new offering from Simon & Schuster and CBS Consumer Products to look forward to, as Star Trek: The Official Guide to the Animated Series that is set to be released later this year.
