The family went through a hard time in their life as they unexpectedly lost their baby on her birthday.
Katrice Lee was the daughter of Richard Lee and Sharon Lee. She also has one older sister named Natasha.
On 28 November 1981, Katrice went to the supermarket with her father, mother and aunt Wendy. They went there to buy gifts and goods to celebrate Katrice’s second birthday.
The NAAFI shopping complex was very crowded that day. Katrice was carried around by her mom, who placed her at the checkpoint. When she briefly left the checkout to purchase crisps, she realized Katrice was not there.
Katrice Lee parents searched her a lot, but they could not find her. Her missing was soon reported to the Police, but no trace of Katrice was found.
The parents and the entire family were in much pain, and that pain was still the family’s heart, as Katrice had not been found yet.

Katrice Lee’s father, Richard, was a sergeant major in The King’s Royal Hussars of the British Army that was stationed in West Germany.
Katrice Lee’s mother, Sharon, has been living a hard time as her adorable baby has been missing for a long time.
As per BBC, Katrice Lee parents got married in 1972. They moved to West Germany when Katrice’s mother, Sharon, was pregnant with their second child, Katrice. The pair separated in 1989.
When Katrice began missing in 1981, Richard let every soldier from his unit to find his daughter. Royal Military Police investigators started working on the case, and many speculations were made.
After serving in the military for about 34 years, in 1999, Richard was discharged from the Army. Richard and the entire family have been searching for Katrice for many decades, but till now, no evidence or trace of Katrice has been found.
The family strongly hopes that Katrice is alive and living fine and healthy. Richard believes that a childless couple stole Katrice, and she is unaware of her true identity and parents.
The investigations were resumed or were carried out many times, including in the years 2000 and 2017. But still, no information about Katrice has been found yet.
Lastly, the family has been in enormous pain for so many years. But they have never lost hope of finding their daughter. We hope Katrice will be found soon.
