After five years of development, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) opened in Mumbai, India.
The multi-disciplinary center in the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex comprises four floors of state-of-the-art exhibition rooms and three theatres.
The Grand Theatre is the largest in India, with a capacity of 2,000 seats. It is designed to accommodate Indian dance, with a broader curvature of the auditorium and a steeper rake.
The smaller theatres, The Studio Theatre & The Cube, offer more intimate experiences and can seat up to 250 & 125 visitors, respectively.
“The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation,” directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, will open the facility. It will feature over 350 performers and a live score by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra.

The opening programming also included ‘India in Fashion,’ a costume show on the influence of Indian fabrics.
