It has just been a week in the new year and decade, and already so much has happened. Just today, it was announced that EXO’s Chen would be getting married this year. The vocalist and member of popular K-pop group EXO made the sudden announcement on Monday, January 13, 2020.
Likewise, the K-pop idol and singer announced the happy news by writing a letter to his beloved fans who have been there since his debut with the group.
Chen posted the letter on the EXO’s official fan club, LYSN. He wrote,
“Hello, this is Chen.
I have something to say to my fans, so I wrote this letter. I don’t know how to start, so I am very nervous. I wanted to be the first one to tell my fans who I love so much, so I am leaving this post even with my lacking sentences.
I have a girlfriend who I want to be with for the rest of my life.
However, the K-pop idol did not fail to show his concern as well. He is clearly worried about his fans’ reactions to the news.

“I was worried and concerned with what would happen with my decision, but I wanted to let everyone know early so my members, the company, my agency, and especially my fans who are proud of me wouldn’t be surprised by the sudden news, so I talked it out with my agency and the members. “
Furthermore, in the letter, Chen hinted at his fiancee’s pregnancy. And how the news pushed him to make a decision and come out in public.
“During that time a blessing came to me. I was shocked because I wasn’t able to take part in the plans that I had made with the members and the company. But, this blessing gave me strength and courage. I thought about how and when I should reveal the news but I didn’t want to wait any longer. So, I am carefully revealing it to you all now.”
Moreover, in the letter, Chen did not forget to thank his members who are like a brother to him.

EXO Chen Getting Married: SM Entertainment confirmed the news
The news was further confirmed by SM Entertainment, who released an official statement regarding the marriage.
According to the statement, Chen’s fiancee is a non-celebrity, and the wedding will be held in an intimate ceremony. Only family members and loved ones will attend the ceremony.
