Where Is Veronica Tejera? Dax Tejera Wife Arrest And Charge
Veronica Tejera, the late ABC News producer Dax Tejera’s wife, was charged with endangering the welfare of her children after leaving their two-year-old and five-month-old girls in a hotel room.
According to a note from network president Kim Godwin, Dax, who produced This Week With George Stephanopoulos, died on December 23 at 37 after a heart attack.
Veronica alleged in a statement to Entertainment Tonight on January 3 that she left the couple’s 2-year-old and 5-month-old kids in a hotel room the same evening.
According to an NYPD spokeswoman, Police responded to a 911 call at 11 pm reporting “unattended children” who had been left alone and that “the mother was taken in jail and charged.”
According to the 33-year-old, “We had two cameras aimed at my children while they slept, and I kept a close eye on them when I was out. While the girls were uninjured, I know it was a bad decision.”
“When Dax fainted on December 23, I escorted him to the hospital in an ambulance,” she stated in a statement to ET.
“Dax’s untimely death has crushed my family and me. He has left behind a bereaved family and two girls he adored, “Veronica started.
“I requested that a close friend and my parents rush to my children’s hotel room to care for them while I observed them with a camera. The hotel refused to let my companion in and instead contacted the NYPD.”

What Happened To Dax Tejera ? Where Are The Kids Now?
The cause of death of Dax Tejera has been determined, and, contrary to what ABC News president Kim Godwin stated last month, the ABC News producer did not die of a heart attack on December 23.
According to ET, Tejera choked to death while out for dinner with his wife and friends at Bobby Van’s Steakhouse.
According to a spokeswoman for the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner, Tejera died of “asphyxia owing to blockage of the airway by food bolus exacerbating severe alcohol intoxication.”
Godwin issued a statement last month in response to Tejera’s passing:
“It is with great regret that we inform you that our friend and colleague, Dax Tejera, died unexpectedly of a heart attack yesterday night.
As This Week’s Executive producer, ABC News and you shone every Sunday morning thanks to George Stephanopoulos Dax’s enthusiasm, passion, and love for that show.
That same affection was shown to his adorable daughters. Our hearts go out to his wife, Veronica, their two small girls, and the whole Tejera family.”
Tejera’s wife, Veronica, was arrested shortly after the tragedy for allegedly leaving their 2-year-old and 5-month-old girls alone at the Yale Club in the hours preceding Dax’s murder.
Veronica went on to say, “Our family has been through a tremendous tragedy. I sincerely request privacy while my children and I grieve Dax’s passing.”
She was detained and charged with two charges of acting in a harmful way to a kid.
