Daniel P. Watson had been arrested and charged with capital murder and an additional count of murder with a gun in the deaths of Amber L Manning and Timothy R Davidson.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Tuesday morning gunshot deaths of two persons in Ragland.
Just after midnight, deputies went to a disturbance complaint at 1 Ivy Drive and discovered Amber L. Manning, 37, dead in the driveway from a gunshot wound.
According to the St. Clair County Sherrif’s office, Daniel P Watson, 28, is being charged with the killings of Amber L Manning and Timothy R Davidson.

Daniel P. Watson Arrested And Charged In The Deaths Of Amber L Manning And Timothy R Davidson
Daniel P. Watson, a 28-year-old Pell City resident, was arrested and charged with capital murder and an extra count of murder with a gun in the murders of Amber L Manning and Timothy R Davidson on March 16, 2023.
The event occurred in Ragland, Alabama, and Police were called to Ivy Drive.
“The Leeds Police officer was able to send information to our 911 communications section and identify a probable area and a prospective House where the victims were situated,” said Truman Fitzgerald, Birmingham Police Department’s Assistant Public Affairs Officer.

Timothy R. Davidson, 62, was also discovered shot inside the House. He was evacuated to UAB Hospital by Lifesaver Helicopter, where he died.
“After speaking with detectives and reviewing the evidence, it seems that Mr. Watson shot our two victims in Birmingham first, then proceeded to St. Clair County and shot two more victims,” Fitzgerald said.
Daniel P. Watson, 28, of Pell City, was arrested. He is being held in the St. Clair County Prison in Ashville on capital murder and murder with a firearm charge.
The suspect is also being held for two killings in Birmingham last night. According to Birmingham Police, Watson approached a Leeds Police officer at 6 am. Tuesday and claimed to have shot two individuals in Ragland and two more in Birmingham.
Birmingham Police discovered the deaths of a man and a woman inside a residence in the 8400 block of 8th Avenue South in the East Lake neighborhood after being notified of the killings.

Watson is being jailed in the St. Clair County prison on two charges of capital murder, according to court documents.
In Jefferson County, further charges are anticipated to be filed. Watson’s first run-in with the law came in 2017 when he was convicted of burglary and stealing.
One East Lake resident told ABC 33/40 that Daniel Watson was regularly seen performing ‘handy labor’ and appeared polite. They were astounded to learn that Watson was accused of killing four people.
According to Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department, at about 6 am, the 911 communications section got information from the Leeds Police Department that a guy approached a Leeds Police officer and claimed to have shot two individuals in Birmingham.
The man could give a general location and a description of the House.
Officers from the East Precinct were able to locate the victims in the 8400 block of 8th Avenue South just after 8 am. They discovered a man and a woman dead from gunshot wounds as they entered the House.
