Lately, Alexander Wang Controversy has grasped public attention with numerous allegations against him from various outlets.
Born on December 26, 1983, Alexander Wang is an American fashion designer who rose to fame after being awarded the 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.
Wang founded his Alexander Wang fashion brand in 2005. Similarly, he worked as a creative director at Balenciaga from November 2012 through July 2015.

Alexander Wang Controversy: Accused Of Sexual Assault Before
Alexander Wang was allegedly accused of sexual assault by various models in the industry.
On December 29, 2020, Fashion industry whistleblower account DietPrada and modeling industry watchdog account S*it Model Management posted compilations of the accusations made on various social media platforms.
The controversy started after a male model, Owen Mooney, came forward to describe his incident with Wang that happened in 2017.
The model claimed- he was groped by the fashion designer in a packed New York City nightclub.
After his allegation, others started coming out with their experience with Alexander. Another person who was accused was a New York-based DJ, Nick Ward.
According to Nick, he was also groped by the designer in 2017 in a nightclub. Furthermore, some claimed that Wang drugged them without their consent.
There were several allegations made against Alexandra Wang. He was accused of groping and having their bodies or genitals exposed by Wang.
However, in his defense, he has never intended such gruesome activities.
On December 31, 2020, Wang’s representative released a statement claiming all the accusations were misleading.
He also claimed to hold accountable whoever originated and spread the false accusation online.
On January 1, 2021, Alexander was again accused of sexual assault incidents. He was alleged by various individuals, including transgender model and actor Gia Garrison.
Following the allegations, on January 4, 2021, Wang issued a statement that he assured to be transparent and honest throughout the investigations.
He also thanked those who supported him.
On the same day, it was reported that Lisa Bloom would stand to represent the alleged victims of Wang.
Alexander Wang Controversy: Accused of a Sweatshop
Alexander Wang was accused of violating New York State labor laws and mistreating the employees in his company.
A lawsuit was filed against him in February 2012 for the allegation. The 31 plaintiffs sought a total of $450 million for each of the nine charges.
Wenyu Lu, one of the workers, claimed that he was hospitalized because of the work overload.
He added- the workers are forced to work for 25 hours straight without any break.
Furthermore, Lu claimed that the infrastructure in the building is poorly made; the 200-square-foot office on Broadway has no windows and is poorly ventilated.
Moreover, Wenyu admitted that the workers work for 16 hours or more without breaks or overtime at Wang’s factory.
In addition, Lu’s lawyer, Ming Hai, claimed that he was fired on February 16 when he brought the complaints to the administration regarding poor working conditions and worker compensation.
Likewise, another worker, Flor Duante, was fired after filing for workers’ compensation. She also stated that she had worked 90-hour weeks.
On August 14, 2012, WWD reported that the lawsuit had been dismissed. It stated that all the allegations were completely false.
However, it is said that the matter was settled between the parties with undisclosed terms.
Alexander Wang Response To Sexual Assault Allegations
Following the allegations from various outlets, Wang responded in his defense, denying all the wrongdoings.
He also stated that he is seeking legal action against the person behind such allegations.
After a Twitter account called “S*it Model Management” published a thread of allegations by the victims, numerous models and individuals accused Wang as a sexual assaulter.
These allegations caused Wang serious consequences; he was blacklisted from various events and spaces.
Earlier, the designer denied commenting on the allegations; however, he later released a statement.
Wang stated that he has been receiving baseless and grotesquely false accusations.
He was never engaged in such atrocious behavior, and the social media accounts have been wrongfully amplified.
He added- these are based on zero evidence or any fact-checking.
Alexander said these lies are infuriating, and he would go bottom of these claims to hold accountable whoever is responsible.
