Acacia Jackson was arrested along with another suspect, Jamica Danielle Langley, in connection with the murder of Tyosha Tanique Mitchel.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of a body near Old Williamsburg Road in York County over the weekend, authorities said on Wednesday.

Tyosha Tanique Mitchell, 25, of Richmond, was discovered dead on the side of Old Williamsburg Road in York County in the early morning hours of May 6. A jogger who saw the body while passing by alerted the Police.

Who Is Acacia Jackson? 18-Year-Old Arrested For Tyosha Tanique Mitchell Murder

Acacia Jackson, an 18-year-old individual, is one of the suspects who has been arrested in connection with the murder of Tyosha Tanique Mitchell.

Montgomery said the suspects were arrested in Portsmouth and taken to Portsmouth City Jail. They will eventually be transferred to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

Montgomery said they would all be transferred to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Prison in the coming days.

Tyosha Tanique Mitchell, of the 2300 block of Bethel Street in Richmond, was discovered dead on the side of Old Williamsburg Road in York County early Saturday morning.

Soon after, York County investigators came to begin their investigation. Montgomery said they discovered Mitchell with several gunshot wounds and 14 shell casings in the street nearby.

On Wednesday, Sheriff Ron Montgomery announced Hezekiah Janile Carney, 24, of Norfolk; Acacia Jackson, 18, of Norfolk; and Jamica Danielle Langley, 24, of Richmond. They were arrested Tuesday in Portsmouth.

“During the investigation, we determined she had been brought here by individuals that reside in Norfolk. They all belong to a gang affiliated with the Mad Stone Bloods out of Norfolk, Virginia,” Ron Montgomery, the York-Poquoson Sheriff, said.

Police have disclosed the identity of the 25-year-old woman whose body was discovered early Saturday morning in Yorktown near one of the Colonial Parkway’s exits.

The corpse was discovered by a jogger on the side of Old Williamsburg Road between Riverwalk Townhouses and the Colonial Parkway entrance at 6:30 a.m., according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

The murder of Tyosha Tanique Mitchell has sparked widespread interest due to its terrible nature.

According to deputies, the 25-year-old lady died at the site when first responders arrived.

The woman, later named Tyosha Tanique Mitchell after her next of kin was notified, died due to several gunshot wounds, according to officials.

Sheriff Ron Montgomery stated on Saturday that deputies believed Mitchell was “forcefully abducted from Richmond” earlier that morning.

Montgomery earlier stated that deputies were collaborating with Richmond Police to question possible witnesses to this murder.”

According to the available information, Acacia Jackson was arrested along with another suspect, Jamica Danielle Langley, in connection with the murder of Tyosha Tanique Mitchell.

Based on the search results, the case surrounding the murder of Tyosha Tanique Mitchell and the subsequent arrest of suspects Acacia Jackson and Jamica Danielle Langley remains shrouded in mystery.

Fourteen bullet casings were discovered in a nearby roadway by investigators. A witness who lives in the neighborhood reported hearing gunshots at about 3:45 a.m.

Investigators suspect Mitchell was taken to York County by Norfolk people involved with the “Mad Stone Bloods” group, Montgomery said at a press conference on Wednesday.
