Oliver Peck Quits Ink Master after Racist blackface images surface online
Oliver Peck, a well-known tattoo artist who rose to fame through reality TV, has resigned from his role as a judge on Ink Master after controversial images of him in Blackface were circulated on social media.
Peck had been a judging panel member, alongside Chris Nunez and Dave Navarro, from the show’s first season until its 13th season.
However, following the resurfacing of his past racist behavior, Peck has faced heavy criticism from the public, leading to his departure from the Paramount Network tattoo show.
In addition to his stint on Ink Master, Peck is known for co-owning several tattoo parlors, including True Tattoo in California, Elm Street Tattoo, and Tiki Loco Restaurant located in Dallas.

Why Is Oliver Peck Called Racist?
In January 2020, TMZ released numerous photos of Oliver Peck wearing Blackface, which quickly went viral and drew heavy criticism and backlash.
In response, Peck apologized on Instagram for his immature and insensitive behavior, stating that he now realizes how clueless and dumb he was then.
He expressed deep remorse for anyone he may have offended.
After eight years of working on Ink Master since 2012, Peck decided to bid farewell to the show.
He acknowledged that the offensive photos from many years ago could only distract from the fantastic show he had been a part of. He and the producers mutually agreed that it was best to part ways.
The exact date of when the photos were taken has not been confirmed. Peck paid the price for his ignorance and took full accountability for his actions. He appears to have changed for the better since then.
Oliver Peck Black Face Controversy
TMZ, a gossip site, initially published the Blackface photos of Oliver Peck and reported that he had worn Blackface on several Halloweens.
One of the images depicted the former TV judge wearing dark paint on his face, along with a superhero costume with the letter “N,” and another photo showed him dressed up as a basketball player with brown paint covering his entire body.
After the photos went viral, a fan on Twitter expressed disappointment and said, “A tattoo artist that I have always looked up to is caught doing Blackface? If it was 50+ years ago, you could plead ignorance, but there’s no excuse for doing that now.”
The societal impact of Peck’s actions and the subsequent backlash could shed light on the ongoing struggle against racism and prejudice in the entertainment industry.
