Amber Unsolved Murder Led To The Amber Alert Creation
Frequently, loud noises from people’s phones indicate that a child has gone missing locally.
To find the child before it’s too late, the alert, also known as an Amber Alert, will include information about the child’s appearance and perhaps even a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
The alert was initially used in 1998 when Rae-Leigh Bradbury got abducted by her nanny.
An Amber alert was issued that evening. Shortly after, a car called in to say he had seen the babysitter on a nearby highway, as Patricia Sokolowski, her mother, related in “Amber: The Girl Behind The Alert.”
Patricia returned with infant Rae-Leigh on the next day of the kidnapping.
