She had her life, and post-graduate aspirations changed when she was compelled to share a locker room and compete against a biological male, Lia Thomas, at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship.

Similarly, she developed a passion for swimming at a young age, which is typical for many women at her level of accomplishment. However, by the time she was 12 years old, she began to outpace her peers in races.

Gaines has recently made headlines after alleging that she was physically assaulted and cornered by a group of trans-rights protesters who disrupted her speech about safeguarding women’s sports.

The incident forced her to barricade herself for three hours, and she subsequently shared disturbing footage of law enforcement escorting her to safety at San Francisco State University.

Riley Gaines, a former college swimming champion, was kidnapped and assaulted, according to Skynews.

She has come forward with allegations that she was physically attacked by a trans activist on a University campus, blaming the White House for “betraying” women. 

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail, Maureen Callahan, the 22-year-old swimmer, detailed how the transgender woman hit her twice – once in the shoulder and again in the face – before an undercover campus Police officer intervened.

Further, Gaines claimed she was forced to barricade herself in a room at San Francisco State University for three hours to escape from the “vengeful” mob demanding entry to “fight” her.

Similarly, Gaines criticized the Biden administration for suggesting that the trans community is in danger when women face assaults.

In the interview, she spoke out against proposals by the President that would classify misgendering as sexual harassment, accusing the White House of promoting a narrative that fuels violence and threats towards women.

Additionally, Gaines shared a video on Thursday evening via social media, depicting a large group of individuals encircling her after giving a speech on women’s sports on campus.

Gaines stated in her tweet that she had been “ambushed and physically hit.” Police officers are observed in the footage escorting her out.

Several videos circulating on social media show the crowd shouting insults at Gaines while chanting slogans such as “Trans rights are human rights” and “Trans women are women.”

Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer, reported that she was assaulted on Thursday while on the premises of San Francisco State University.

As stated in the event announcement, Gaines was there to express her opinions against allowing transgender athletes to participate in women’s sports.

“One person physically assaulted me. I was struck twice, hitting my shoulder with the second strike grazing my face,” Gaines stated to CNN’s Natasha Chen. “The remaining protestors just ambushed and cornered me before campus Police came to my aid.”

Gaines posted a video from the event that showed her moving swiftly while surrounded by security personnel.

Though the video captures a protester shouting, “Trans rights are human rights,” it is unclear and does not seem to depict any physical violence.
