Nevertheless, a private ambulance was recently spotted outside his British residence, indicating his grave health.

Mr. Merritt stated that Rolf had neck Cancer and that there were genuine worries about his health but that he was “getting on with things.” Rolf’s disease causes him to ‘gurgle’ when he speaks, making him difficult to understand.

Alwen, his wife, has also been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. ‘She’s fragile,’ he explained.

When called at her home in a Somerset village, Harris’s daughter Bindi did not react. Craig, her husband, also declined to speak.

‘In recent years, Bindi has had little to say about her Father,’ a family acquaintance told MailOnline. When asked about him, she becomes anxious and prefers not to discuss him.

It was thought that Rolf Harris’ health deteriorated following the untimely loss of his pet poodle in 2022. After meeting in art school, Harris married his sculptor wife, Alwen, in March 1958. Bindi is the couple’s only child.

Harris was born in Bassendean, in Perth’s north-east, in 1930. He achieved international acclaim for his paintings and singing.

He was a fixture on British television for over a decade, and from the mid-1990s, he hosted Animal Hospital, a reality show about a London vet clinic. It was one of the most popular shows in the United Kingdom then.

He was eventually embarrassed when detained in 2013 as part of a UK Police probe into sexual offenses.

Harris was convicted in June 2014 of 12 charges of indecent assault on four young females between 1968 and 1986, one of which he later contested.

After three years, he was freed from Stafford Prison in England’s midlands in 2017 and has been seldom seen in public since.
