Roberto Barrera and Victor Leal were arrested on Sunday for their involvement in a shooting that resulted in the death of a man.
The suspects, both young men, Roberto Barrera and Victor Leal, were charged with murder in connection to the shooting incident that caused the demise of 30-year-old Julian Reynolds on March 11, 2023.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 4:30 am, prompting a 911 call to alert the authorities.
Upon arrival at the Elzy Pearson Shooting Range in Casa Grande, it was discovered that Reynolds had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators believe that Barrera and Leal stopped by as their car had run out of gas. They then proceeded to steal Reynolds’ car, and when confronted by the victim, the shooting occurred.

Roberto Barrera And Victor Leal: Who Are They?
Roberto Barrera, 21, and Victor Leal, 20, have been arrested in connection to the murder of Julian Reynolds. Both suspects are from Casa Grande, located 50 miles south of Phoenix.
The victim, Julian Reynolds, was a 30-year-old man from Arizona City collecting brass casings to reload and save money on ammunition on the morning of the incident.
Roberta and Victor robbed and shot Julian multiple times before fleeing the scene. However, the Police were able to apprehend both suspects quickly.
Despite the tragic event, visitors to the shooting range still feel safe. Resident Frank expressed his sadness and said, “It’s unfortunate when someone loses their life, especially for a senseless reason.”
It is unclear whether Roberto and Victor have legal representation, but they will likely face a life sentence and will not be able to enjoy their freedom again.

How Did Roberto Barrera and Victor Leal Get Arrested?
Following the shooting incident in Casa Grande, the two culprits and a 16-year-old friend fled their car after stealing valuable items from Reynolds.
Thanks to the locals’ and eyewitness cooperation, the Police could track down Barrera and Leal and arrest them a day later. The CGPD tweeted, “We arrested two on March 11 Homicity of Arizon City Man.”
Roberto and Victor were charged with first-degree murder, third-degree burglary, and tampering with evidence and are currently being held at Pinal Country Adult Detention Center.
The Police also located the 16-year-old who fled from the crime scene. However, after being interviewed, he was released without charges and handed over to his parents.
The authorities recovered the weapon used in the shooting from the desert near the location of the incident with the assistance of K9 Blitz. All evidence pointed to Barrera and Leal’s involvement in the crime.
A second teenager involved in hiding evidence was arrested alongside Roberto and Victor and is currently being prosecuted by the Pinal County Attorney’s office.
After the successful operation, CGP Chief Mark McCory expressed his gratitude to the Casa Grande community for their support in the investigation, saying, “I want to thank the Casa Grande community for the support you have given our officers as they investigated this crime.”
