Playboi Carti Mugshot: Rapper Arrested For Allegedly Choking His Pregnant Girlfriend

Playboi Carti was arrested on a felony assault charge for reportedly choking his pregnant girlfriend following a dispute over a paternity test, according to TMZ.

The lady told Police the rapper grabbed her by the throat, pushed her, and held her neck until she could hardly breathe, according to the arrest affidavit obtained by TMZ. She even told the Police that she believed she would pass away.

Additionally, Police claim the woman admitted to them that she had been living with Playboi Carti since July 2022, has been in a relationship with him for two years and was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged event on December 20.

The woman informed Police that she wanted to speak with Playboi Carti about the child. She claims that an argument about a paternity test evolved into a physical assault.

When she escaped Carti’s hold, she allegedly went to her car, alleging he attacked her once more. She informed Police that a witness intervened to break up the fight.

According to the alleged victim, she attempted to use the car’s SOS function to phone the Police, and Carti attempted to drag her out of the vehicle while placing his palm over her mouth.

When officers arrived, the woman reportedly had apparent bruises on her neck, chest, and back.

Not to mention, Brian Steel, his attorney, says to TMZ, “He was wrongly accused, Mr. Carter.

Brain has informed the Fulton County District Attorney’s office that this matter will be dismissed without any further action being taken or legal action being taken.”

Playboi Carti Was Previously Arrested In 2020 On Drug Charge

Playboi Carti, an American rapper and singer, was arrested on suspicion of drug and driving offenses. The “Magnolia” rapper and Jaylon Tucker, age 21, were brought to Clayton County Jail in Georgia. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Jordan Carter, also known as Carti, was stopped for driving a Lamborghini with expired tags.

The stop ironically took place under a sign stating, “Wash You Hands Stay At Home,” as seen in the photographs below from the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies pulled over the car and found three weapons and 12 bags of marijuana, codeine, and oxycodone.

According to court documents, Carter was accused of possessing marijuana, inappropriately passing an emergency vehicle, and not having an updated decal on his license plate.

He was released on bail. Tucker is still being held due to numerous drug and gun-related offenses.
