Linda Lewis Husband has been trending on social media as the singer has recently died.

Linda Ann Fredericks, better known as Linda Lewis, was a singer, composer, and guitarist from England. Ms. Lewis was the eldest of six children, three of whom were also singers.

Lewis was a self-taught guitarist and keyboardist influenced by Billie Holiday, Harry Nilsson, and Smokey Robinson, as well as others like Joni Mitchell. Her music was a fusion of folk, funk, and soul.

Jim is most known for his work with Rod Stewart, Steve Harley, Cockney Rebel, and Family he also worked as a record producer with Linda. In a pop biography, Linda disclosed that she had a brief romance with Harley, who was in Cockney Rebel with Jim.

They met while strolling on Hampstead Heath one day and married many years later. This union lasted only three years because Linda claimed they were too far apart, especially after Jim joined Rod Stewart’s band, and were unfaithful.

They were vacationing in a New Zealand hotel in 1979 when boxing star Muhammad Ali stepped in. Linda wandered into a room with Ali and his entourage of attractive females after fighting with Jim in the hotel bar and storming out.

On Wednesday night, her family announced her death, with her sister Dee Lewis Clay announcing the news on social media.

“It is with tremendous grief and regret that we relay the news that our dear beautiful sister Linda Lewis died peacefully at her home tonight,” she said. “The family requests that you respect our privacy and allow us to grieve at this difficult time.”

Lewis was known for her five-octave vocal range, which earned her comparisons to Minnie Riperton and Mariah Carey. She had solo success in the 1970s and a long career supplying background vocals for musicians such as David Bowie and Rod Stewart.

It’s In His Kiss, a version of a 1963 song subsequently made famous by Cher as The Shoop Shoop Song, was her most significant success.

She resided in a commune in Hampstead with several artists and musicians at a House frequented by Marc Bolan, Elton John, and Yusuf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens.

Lewis, born Linda Ann Fredericks in West Ham in 1950, attended stage school and dabbled in acting, appearing as a shouting fan in the first Beatles film, A Hard Day’s Night, in 1964. 

When the songstress joined Polydor, she took the surname Lewis after singer Barbara Lewis. Her sisters, Dee Lewis and Shirley Lewis, vocalists, and their mother would all adopt the surname later in life.

She resided in a commune in Hampstead with several artists and musicians at a House frequented by Marc Bolan, Elton John, and Yusuf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens.

She traveled with Islam and had a long-term, on-again, off-again relationship with him, claiming their relationship ended once he converted to Islam. “To put it mildly, he was looking for more purpose in his life.”

“To put it, he was becoming a thorn in my side,” she wrote.
