The Yeti airplane crash in Pokhara, Nepal, has left everyone shocked and stumped. More than 68 lives have been lost, including the young guitarist Nishant Acharya.
Nishant Acharya, better known by his stage name guitarfr3ak, was a musician and guitarist from Kathmandu, Nepal.
He had made a name for himself as one of the country’s most distinctive guitarists, with a passion for the instrument and his hard work.
Nishant was shot to fame in 2021 when one of his TikTok went viral, and his followers rose from 20 to over 22,000 in a single month.
With that, he was a sensational musical content creator and influencer who was able to touch millions of Nepali youths.
Sadly, the legendary guitarist passed away in the crash. Nishant Acharya’s death has shocked his fans and well-wishers worldwide.
Even though his physical body has left us, his legacy will remain in the videos, music, and fans he has created throughout his career.

Who Was Nishant Acharya?
Nishant Acharya was a long-haired guitar freak, social media influencer, and content creator.
He had 65.2K followers on TikTok, 10.6K followers on Instagram, and 27.7K subscribers on YouTube.
Before breaking into the online scene, he worked full-time as a digital marketing manager in an IT company.
Nishant began playing music with his school orchestra when he was barely a teenager.
In fact, at the age of 13, he began learning how to play the guitar.
He had since tirelessly experimented with various genres, evident in his distinctive approach to creating music.
Acharya chose to go solo after failing to find a band that fit his musical philosophy.
Since then, he began regularly posting videos to social media sites that demonstrate the limitless potential of his fingerstyle.
Besides music, he used to love cycling and often went up and down the Nagarkot trail.

Acharya claimed that playing guitar felt like an extension of his conscience.
It was a method for him to express himself in a way he might not feel confident doing verbally.
Nishant was one of the few guitarists who could play the guitar in a distinctive finger style.
Additionally, he was strong in his flawless transcribing abilities and was skilled in dialing a clear, pure tone whether he was performing live or recorded.
Although most of his songs featured clean fingerstyle guitar, the artist frequently switched to an alternate persona.
His songs had soaring catchy melodies with powerful bends and vibratos. He had started creating songs for his debut instrumental album, which he intended to release soon.
Just a week before his death, Acharya released his signature guitar in collaboration with Sahana Guitars. It was his biggest dream, which took over two years to complete.
Yeti Airline Crash Updates
On January 15, 2023, Yeti Airlines ATR 72 aircraft crashed and went down in the nearby Seti River Gorge.
The plane traveled from Kathmandu, the nation’s capital, to Pokhara, the second-largest city.
Four crew members and 68 passengers, totaling 72 individuals, were on board.
According to the civil aviation authority, all four crew members and 53 of the passengers were from Nepal.
There were also fifteen international passengers aboard the aircraft: five Indians, four Russians, and two Koreans.
Moreover, the remainder were from Australia, Argentina, France, and Ireland.
Till now, 68 passengers have been found, and all have been announced dead. Only four individuals remained to be found, which are all children.
After dark, the search was suspended, but it was picked up again on Monday morning.
The Aviation Safety Network reported that the tragedy was the third-deadliest crash in the history of the Himalayan country.
Moreover, it was the deadliest crash in more than 30 years.
According to the head of Tribhuvan International Airport, the crash took place while taking the landing approach.
To honor the victims, the government designated Monday a public holiday.
