On the program on Tuesday, Greg Hill and co-hosts Courtney Cox and Jermaine Wiggins ranked their top picks while discussing Boston’s potential ban on “nips,” or miniature alcohol bottles.

“Oh, I’d probably go Mina Kimes,” Curtis interjected, referencing the well-known ESPN Football analyst and Korean personality on her mother’s side.

Nip is also a derogatory term for Japanese folks & is considered an offensive term, which many people understood well & the Journalist faced a considerable backlash.

WEEI issued a statement apologizing for Curtis’ comments and announced that he had been suspended indefinitely.

Curtis later issued a public apology on Twitter, saying he was “deeply ashamed” of his behavior and promising to do better.
