Manuel Alejandro Carrasco Camacaro was arrested in connection with the murders of Alex Quintanilla and Yohanna Colmenares.

Police in Houston, Texas, have detained a man suspected of being involved in the stabbing murders of two persons in Orange County on Sunday.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Yohanna Colmenares, 42, and Alex Quintanilla, 40, were discovered at 6 am with “clear signs of trauma” in the 10500 block of Bastille Lane.

Colmenares and Quintanilla were both transferred to the hospital, where they died. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Houston arrested Manual Alejandro Carrasco-Camacaro, 39, for the stabbings, according to the sheriff’s office.

Manuel Alejandro Carrasco Camacaro, 39, has been detained concerning the deaths of Alex Quintanilla and Yohanna Colmenares.

On Sunday morning, Orange County officers responded to a 911 call in the 10500 block of Bastille Lane. They discovered Yohanna Colmenares, 42, and Alex Quintanilla, 40, inside a residence with “clear trauma symptoms.” Both were rushed to the hospital and died there.

On Monday, he was arrested in Harris County, which encompasses the Houston metro area. According to deputies, Carrasco-Camacaro was formerly in a relationship with Colmenares and is presently in a relationship with Quintanilla.

He was apprehended “hours ago,” and homicide investigators from the OCSO are on their way to Texas. Both victims were suspected of being targeted, according to officials.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office provided no other information regarding the suspect. Authorities suspect he was planned to fly to a southern border state and has links to the Austin, Texas region.

When Carrasco-Camacaro is extradited to Orange County, he will face first-degree murder charges. An investigation is now underway.

They discovered the lifeless remains of Yohanna Colmenares, 42, and Alex Quintanilla, 40, who were traumatized. Despite receiving timely medical assistance, both people died due to their injuries.

Authorities detained Manuel Alejandro Carrasco Camacaro, 39, a suspect who was thought to be connected to the killings, while the investigation continued.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Carrasco-Camacaro and the suspect had previously dated Colmenares, and Police thought Carrasco-Camacaro was leaving the state following the assault. 

The agency said it worked with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office to capture Carrasco-Camacaro on Monday afternoon since it knew of his connections to the Austin region of Texas.

The investigation is ongoing due to Manuel Alejandro Carrasco Camacaro’s arrest concerning the deaths of Yohanna Colmenares and Alex Quintanilla.

Neighbors were shocked to hear about the tragic incident. “Besides cars going fast on this road,” James Carey said, “that’s the most you’ll ever hear.”
