At 6 o’clock in the evening, her shocked husband Patrick discovered Clancy lying unconscious outside their house and dialed 911.
To Patrick’s surprise, he only left his family alone for 25 minutes, and his whole world fell apart; he had gone out to pick up a takeaway order.
When police arrived at the family’s home, they found the two small children upstairs, unconscious and traumatized.
According to Plymouth’s district attorney, they all appeared to have been strangled.
Cora and Dawson were declared dead when they arrived at the hospital, while Callan received CPR.
Unfortunately, the infant died at the hospital on January 27, 2023.
Meet Her Husband, Patrick Clancy
Patrick Clancy is a 34-year-old man from Massachusetts who married Lindsay. They welcomed three beautiful children together.
Sadly, the happy-go-lucky guy was broken when he lost his kids. He was a loving dad who took pride in being a father.
He recently published a statement in which he paid a touching homage to his deceased children and offered his wife his forgiveness.
Patrick wrote a nearly 1,300-word statement in which he recalled his experiences with each of his kids.
He insisted that his marriage was perfect and only improved as her condition rapidly deteriorated.
He did not explain his wife’s condition and did not focus on her struggle.
The emotional statement was penned on his GoFundMe website, which his family members launched.
Friends of the Clancy family have established a GoFundMe page in Patrick’s name to help with the funeral, medical, and legal expenses.
According to NY Post, more than 13,000 donations have been made; the fundraiser has raised close to $900,000 of its $700,000 target.
Lindsay Clancy’s Medical Condition
Lindsay Clancy is suspected of having suffered from postpartum psychosis.
Since the nurse was on leave from her position at Massachusetts General Hospital, investigators are examining whether she had postpartum psychosis.
The mother previously disclosed on social media that she was battling postpartum anxiety.
Lindsay revealed her postpartum anxiety on Facebook after delivering her most recent child, despite appearing to be a proud mother.
Moreover, a priest revealed during a vigil at the Holy Family Church in Duxbury that she had been attempting to manage her mental illness until getting overwhelmed.
Although postpartum depression might be prevalent, it can also occasionally progress to full postpartum psychosis.
A mother may experience severe despair and hallucinations in this severe form of PPD, which may inspire her to hurt herself, her kids, or both.
Lindsay will be charged with three counts of homicide and three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
